The measurements are based on the vest after it has been brushed and washed. The vest should be a little oversized.
Skills: Knit back and forth, increase, decrease, mattress stitch, german edge stitch, i-cord both as laces and for edge.
Material
Hand dyed Wild alpaca, the yarn is brushed baby suri alpaca from Thelma Steimann, it´s
lightweight, super fluffy and soft to work with. Approx 225m/100gr in each skein.

Organic merino DK from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is 100% Organic merino wool. Approx 225m/100g in each skein. Wonderful and soft base to work with.

Circular needle 10 mm in 100/80 cm.
DPN 4 mm for pockets and i-cord.
Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends and stitching the pocket.
Stitch markers.
Keeping cord for resting stitches.
Knit care brush to brush for the Wild Alpaca.
Tension gauge sample
Make sure to check your tension by creating a gauge swatch before starting your knit. Gauge: 10 stitches and 9 rows with double strand of Wild alpaca in height with stockinette with 10 mm needles for a 10 x 10 cm swatch. Brush the sample with, wash and block. Everyone’s tension is different, so if your tension is too tight and your gauge swatch measures too little, change to a thicker needle. If your tension is too loose and your gauge swatch is too wide, change to a thinner needle.
Good to know
The vest is knitted with a double strand of Wild alpaca, back and forth from bottom and up. The vest is divided into the back, right and left panels and connected by the shoulders again. When the vest is finished, it is brushed with the care brush in order to get the hairs out for a furry look. The i-cord edge is knitted afterwards, and the laces to tie the vest in front. The pockets are knitted separately and then sewn onto the vest.
